Sr. Joanna Salib is a member of the Community of the Daughters of St. Mary Sisters in Beni Suef, Egypt. She is also a physician, with a B.Sc. in Medicine from Tanta University in Egypt and a Master's degree in Community Health from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine. Sr. Joanna manages the Coptic Center for Training and Development where she carries out programs in 20 villages in the province of Beni Suef in the fields of to primary health care, health education, environmental health, reproductive health, income-generating projects, and ending female genital mutilation.
